Build up good relations
The secret of an au pair successfull experience is to build up good relations and immerse yourself deeply in the new context.
Here some tips to keep in your mind:
- Build a good relationship with the first people who will welcome you in the new country. An attitude of openness and positivity helps you to be well-liked and supported from the very beginning.
- Stay in touch with loved ones back home, but avoid being too focused on online communication and neglecting those closest to you and the situations where you can build closer relationships.
- Look for an au pair group in your city or region to exchange opinions and suggestions with those who are living the same experience as you.
- Accept to participate in various social occasions, even when they aren’t that fun, because they might give you the chance to meet people and form new friendships.

Eli’s Founder
My name is Valeria, I am a primary school teacher in Verona,where I live.
One of my stronger passion is knowing about different languages and cultures. It started when I was young, probably influenced by my Spanish origin from my mother side and the fact my family lived in North of Africa for few years before I was born.
After my studies at university I decided to leave Italy and lived an au pair experience in Ireland and it really changed my mind and my personality.
Being in a foreing country, meeting new people, speaking a different language, helped me to open my horizon, raised my adaptability and self-confidence.
When I became a mother of three, a light bulb went on in my head, and I decided to relive my experience the other way round!
Since 2017, I have consistently hosted au pairs from all over the world, and my family and I have enjoyed fantastic adventures with each of our au pairs.
Hence the idea of helping people like me and my family who want to dive into this! So don’t wait …let’s jump together! Looking forward to help with all my commitment and dedication .
